Much has happened in the Mills Family since my last update! It took me almost two years to get back to the blog but at least we’re here. 2020 was a very memorable year in good and bad ways for so many of us. While many of our thoughts have been with family and friends who have suffered from the pandemic and Covid-19, the Lord gave my family a sweet and tender mercy in spite of all the calamity. So on November 23, 2020 we welcomed our son, Maximus Siaosi Mills.
Little back story on his name. We decided to name our son, Maximus (not after the gladiator movie lol) which is latin for ‘greatest.’ I hope Max always remembers that he’s the greatest blessing I’ve received as a parent. I’m so grateful he made me a mom! We gave Max the middle name of Siaosi, after my dad who passed away in 2015. We wanted to honor my dad’s legacy and remind my son to follow his wonderful example. I miss my dad everyday but feel so much peace looking at my son’s face and knowing that families can be together forever!
We feel such an immense gratitude and love like no other for this new addition to our little family. Max has truly brought so much happiness into our lives and we look forward to an eternity of loving, learning and growing together as a family!

Parenting has been such a new, thrilling, exhausting, blissful, crazy but amazing experience. It has been a wild roller coaster but we love this ride called parenthood! Some days I am a literal zombie with a few hours of sleep and lounging in pajamas all day and that’s okay. I’ve learned to enjoy every stage for what it is and take in all the baby snuggles while I can get them! Anyway, just wanted to share this life update. Hoping to get back to more consistent blogging because I really have missed writing!
