Services
Intimacy Coordination
As a certified Intimacy Coordinator for TV & film, Meleane works with production, directors and performers to ensure the creative vision is achieved while keeping everyone involved informed. She supports production with consent-forward practices, nudity riders, modesty garments and ensures SAG-AFTRA guidelines are being followed for scenes involving nudity and/or simulated sex. When requested, Meleane creates movement and choreography that fits within actors’ boundaries.
Intimacy Choreography
Intimacy Choreographers, also known as Intimacy Directors, choreograph moments of physical intimacy between performers, just as a fight director would choreograph moments of staged violence. The choreography ranges from physical contact, such as embracing or kissing, to more complex encounters, such as simulated sex acts. As an Intimacy Choreographer for live performance, Meleane works with vulnerable performers on stage, including theatre, opera, dance and circus. With a lifetime of performing as a dancer, Meleane brings a collaborative spirit and understanding of the latest practices in intimacy work in live performance.
Mental Health Coordination
As a certified Mental Health Coordinator, Meleane works across TV, film and live performance offering support through all phases of production including, pre-production, production and post-production. She supports the creative process by facilitating safe, accurate, sensitive portrayal of mental illness while incorporating safeguards for cast and crew’s mental well-being. Meleane’s services alleviate stress, prevent conflict, reduce time delays in production and avoid incurring costs.
